We love hearing about our partners’ and users’ experiences with Archer on social media. Before you post anything, however, we ask that you make sure your post is truthful and not deceptive.
If we have invited you to a special event, or paid or otherwise incentivized you to promote our products or services, anything you post about Archer or our products or services is considered “sponsored”—be it in a product review, blog, podcast, online forum, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Reddit, Tiktok, etc.
All sponsored content should be transparent, truthful and not deceptive. Additionally, it’s your responsibility to comply with the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) Endorsement Guides, along with the terms and conditions for any social media platforms that you use to discuss Archer products and services. Here are some of the most important rules of the road:
DISCLOSE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH ARCHER
Your post should make your relationship with us clear, so that customers who view your post understand the context in which you created it. You can do this in any number of ways, such as by using #ArcherPartner or #TeamArcher hashtags, or by using a hashtag such as #ad, #sponsored, or #paid.
Your disclosure should be clear and conspicuous, meaning in a readable font, in a place that viewers will see it, and in close proximity to the sponsored content. The Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines for social media influencers provide additional do’s and don’ts as to how and where to make this kind of disclosure.
SPEAK TRUTHFULLY USING SUBSTANTIATED CLAIMS
Our products and services have a lot of great features that we’d love for you to try out and highlight for your followers. However, it is important that you describe them accurately using substantiated claims.
ARCHER’S MODERATION OF SPONSORED CONTENT
Archer uses reasonable efforts to monitor social media content relating to our business, including sponsored posts. If we believe that your statements or claims are false or misleading, we will contact you for a correction, and may consider ending our relationship with you.
Ultimately, it is your responsibility to make sure that your post is honest, transparent, truthful, and compliant with applicable laws and with the terms and conditions for the social media platforms where you post.
